Did you ever notice how when you least expect it there it is THURSDAY. Not Friday, the weekend or even Monday just THURSDAY!
Thursday a strange day of the week, we still have one more day to go before the weekend, if you work weekends & have Wednesdays off; then Thursday is the first day of the week for you. I used to work for a company whose work week started Thursdays Through Wednesdays, luckily I did not have to work weekends.
Lets look at the name THURSDAY. The contemporary name comes from the old English (no - not me!) Thunor's day or Thor's day Thor being the Norse god of thunder. Funny how we never saw any thunder in the marvel comic Thor. In the Romance languages the day is named after the Roman god Jupiter. In the Indian (not Native American) languages the word for Thursday is Guruvar which is the Sanskrit for Jupiter.
So there you have an explanation of how the name THURSDAY came about....
My Thursday October 8 2009 meant that I had a job interview with a major insurance company. and the rest of today I spent continuing my search for gainful employment.
Sorry this was late today but some days (THURSDAY) one can not just get done what one wants to get done or at the time one wants 8-)

I love Thursdays- they're a big sigh of relief. I dare to say I like them more than Fridays (although Saturdays and Sundays are my favorites) BTW why sober "frog" and not sober toad or dude or man, english, studmuffin...
